Reset Power (9500ix. Gx65, Pro 500)

Modified on Wed, 6 Aug, 2025 at 12:12 PM

Reset Power is usually not related to power at all.  Instead, it typically means that the detector has failed to properly calibrate.  This could be caused by the following:

  1. Corrupt software and/or a failed update
  2. Hardware failure

If you experience this error, please connect to the most current version of Escort Detector Tools and perform a UPDATE ALL software update. (from the Advanced Tab in the tool).  for Mac tools, you will look to the top of the window and for the manual updates, and select the firmware update from there.

Oftentimes, reinstalling the software is enough to fix the problem.  However, sometimes, the problem persists. This usually means that the hardware has failed.  If this happens, you will need to send it in for service.
