What is "Auto" mode and why would I use it?

Auto Mode intelligently adjusts the detector’s sensitivity based on your current driving speed. The faster you’re going, the more sensitive it becomes, giving you better detection range exactly when you need it most.

Highway Mode runs at full sensitivity all the time, no matter how fast (or slow) you’re driving. This can lead to more false alerts, especially in town or at low speeds, but is ideal for open highway driving.

While Auto Mode gets very sensitive as your speed increases, it does not reach the absolute maximum sensitivity that Highway Mode provides.

The biggest advantage of Auto Mode is convenience and fewer headaches: it automatically lowers sensitivity at low speeds (when you’re usually not speeding anyway), which dramatically cuts down on annoying false alerts. Most drivers find this the ideal everyday setting because it gives you a smart balance of protection and quiet operation.
